Happy Monday

Another snowstorm is arriving today and this week's playlist is full of moody, playful and dynamic songs to get you through it - even if you like a storm or two.

Daddy by Charlotte Cardin is about being trapped in a love triangle and making the first move to change the stagnant dynamic. Playing with fire never sounded so good, this also the song you'd want playing while you take action and assert yourself.

Rhye's full album " Home" came out on the 22nd and from it we bring you Helpless. The verses have a heavy synthwave influence with a dark melody to lure you in, while the chorus brightens up momentarily to plead with song's muse to give in and fall in love.

Of all the pure and lovely voices out there, Birdy's is one of my favorites. This week she gave us a glimpse of her new album "Young Heart" (to be released in April) with the first single from it Surrender. It's a self-reflective song about being strong for so long that you've lost sight of what you really wanted and sometimes the only way to get there is to look inside, be honest about it and surrender.
