Happy Valentine's day lovely people,
I hope you were able to love and be loved to your fullest capacity this weekend. Most of the U.S. is currently experiencing either winter storms or arctic blasts, which didn't make it easy to get out and do anything even considering the pandemic. The cabin fever has been real but so has the acceptance and understanding that this is temporary and spring is creeping closer.
On the verge of being corny, but still tugged at my heartstrings this week is Dan + Shay's Glad You Exist. Quiet acoustic country/pop proves that the truest love doesn't need to be grand and bold but can also be found in quiet truths, spoken with candor.
After having too much Valentine's day wine, please do yourself a favor and play Pressure by Martin Garrix (ft Tove Lo). The sexy beat, and electronic brass section transports you into a dark club of seduction.
It's always hard to look at your life with honest eyes. It takes bravery and courage, Sam Fischer and Demi Lovato cross that bridge in their song What Other People Say. A lot of the lyrics are extremely relatable, how we judge other people and say "I'll never be like that, I'm perfect" but no one knows the struggle of strangers and a little understanding goes a long way.
