This week on the playlist, inspired by the feeling of wanting to go on a road trip, we travel through several genres, from rap, alt-rock, EDM, to pop to keep your ears intrigued and your heart full.
Madeline The Person opens up about coping with grief in her song "I Talk to the Sky". It's beautifully written about how painful it is to want to share your thoughts and stories with someone who isn't with you anymore, so she tells the sky instead.
"Telepath" by Manchester Orchestra is poetry put to music, each verse paints a vivid picture, from empty apartments to slowly falling into the ocean. The gentle harmonies on the choruses are filled with a longing and sense of urgency as the words ask "Baby, do you want me?" and the questions progress as the the song does.
